Power consumption
I've bought a power monitor in order to measure how many amps/watts the server draws. Take a guess how many watts it will draw about a minute after it has displayed the console login prompt with no special load running. There will be 3 Xen domains idling at this point, in addition to dom0.
Results
The results are in: islay idles at 120W after it's fully booted as described above, so Phil is the winner. It peaked at about 209W during the pre-grub boot sequence, and wobbled around150-175W during the kernel boot.
Tomorrow night I'll see what happens when I compile a kernel or something. Update: When compiling a kernel in dom0 over and over, the power consumption went up to ~174W or ~0.75A.
