If I were to code some sort of simple control panel web site for Xen hosting customers, what sort of features would you like to see on it?
Administrivia
- Change your email address / postal address / phone number
- Change your password that is used for the control panel, bandwidth (Cacti), monitoring (Nagios) and machine console
Hosting
- Change reverse DNS, when I have big enough allocations to allow that (far future)
- Can still display current DNS and have a form for telling me to do a manual change
- Restart your domain if for some reason you can't even log in via console - this would be really odd so probably not much of a priority
- Send a SysRq
- Set up backup MX / DNS
Informational
- Report when next payment is due
- Report bandwidth use for last 30 days on at least a daily basis
